Champions on Ice 2000-2001 was certainly a "par
for the course" year for them: zero continuity style-wise
and lots of bad costumes. Let's start with the good just
to be nice and positive.
 Michelle Kwan
shines in gold (her favorite color?). The color is really wonderful
with her skin tone. Altogether, an A+ dress. The best lady
of her tour, but not the best
ladies' dress of all the tours this year. |
 Isabelle
also showed up to the dance in gold, but made a different statement
than Michelle. Fringe! Her skirt flies across the ice just as
she does. Oh, and Lloyd looks pretty great too.

David is fashionably left out in the cold in this
number, Jamie is cute as a button in her purple
nightie-overdress and underclothes. Too cute and perfectly suited
to this program. |
 Yes,
he's over-the-top -- but perfectly so. Rudy lays
it on thick for his Fosse number. He violates so many fashion
rules in this outfit (illusion on men is a strict no-no and gloves
are off-limits for IceJoan's prodiges) but really he looks perfect
for this number. |
 Hot
Toddy walks away easily with the best man of his tour
award and is being considered for the best man of all tours
this year. He sparkles in black and is understated and powerful
-- just like his skating. |
 While
it's certainly not a perfect outfit, Elvis looks
better than usual in this casual look for his COI number. If
you see the tour you'll have plenty of time to check out this
ensemble while he poses on the ice rather than skating. |
 They
both look marvelous, but Oksana has never looked
more beautiful. IceJoan says, Love the color, the skirt, the
slit -- love her beautiful face! |
 Yes,
it's a comedic number but Evgeny's gloves are no
laughing matter. It ruins the fun of the outfit. |
 Kyoko,
what were you thinking! There is so much illusion in this outfit
that we can't even tell if John is his usual sexy
self. She really missed the mark with this one. Shame on you!

Rudy's outfit for his cabaret-style Fosse number was wonderfully
over-the-top, Nicole seems more like goth-bondage
than Broadway. She fails somewhere near the choker or maybe it's
the low-cut vest. Please, get this girl to a designer. IceJoan
says, I've never seen her dressed well! |

you certainly have managed to look better than Kurt
does in this outfit, but it's certainly not a victory. No
tank tops on ice!!! IceJoan says, No tank tops anywhere! |
 Maya
and Evgeny are two of the most beautiful
skaters in the world...until he puts on a turban and she shows
up in illusion and boob-flowers. |

to skate to the Backstreet Boys but to wear a space-age Sgt.
